On June 5, 2014 in Bologna took place the ninth edition of the R2B - Research to Business, the two days of Industrial Research and Innovation, which hosted 200 exhibitors and 100 start-ups in the dedicated area and was visited by more than 5,700 people.

In 2013 the IMAPP project of the Piacenza Municipality was awarded of the StartCup Emilia-Romagna 1st prize (link: http://startcup.spinner.it/) Special Section Piacenza.

The project is part of the smart policies for culture and tourism and involves the construction of an innovative guide for visitors of the Palazzo Farnese Museum. It concerns the use of the Beacons technology (small emitters Bluetooth with purchasing and managing low costs) for the information transmission about the works to visitors’ tablets and smartphones.
